Pihak kepolisian telah mengupayakan berbagai cara untuk mengatasi maraknya kejahatan semacam ini. Kasubag Humas Polres Metro Jakarta Selatan Komisaris Polisi Aswin mengatakan, Polri menyediakan email khusus untuk menerima laporan kasus-kasus terkait cybercrime. Masyarakat yang pernah menjadi korban dapat melaporkan penipuan yang dialami dengan mengirim laporan ke alamat surel tersebut, yakni cybercrime@polri.go.id . "Jangan lupa menyertakan nomor rekening dan telpon pelaku dalam laporan, agar segera dilacak," ujar Aswin, Selasa (26/2/2013). Penipuan melalui modus penjualan online memang semakin marak.
